Reliance Jio has launched a new prepaid recharge plan for mobile users with special benefits to ICC Men’s Champions Trophy viewers in India.
It offers a complimentary subscription to JioHotstar, the new streaming service formed by merging JioCinema and Disney+ Hotstar, allowing users to watch ongoing tournaments, movies, shows, anime, documentaries, and other live sports. The plan also comes with a Cricket Data Pack for extra benefits.
JioHotstar offers both monthly and yearly subscription plans for streaming. However, now users can get complimentary access by choosing a specific prepaid recharge plan. The prepaid plan for Rs 195 offers a complimentary ad-supported JioHotstar subscription for 90 days.
It includes 15GB of high-speed data with no other benefits. Once the data is used up, the speed drops to 64 kbps, as per the telecommunications operator. This is an add-on pack, meaning users must have an active Jio prepaid base plan to enjoy this service.
JioHotstar’s ad-supported plan starts at Rs 149 per month, allowing streaming on one mobile device in 720p resolution. The premium plan is priced at Rs 299 per month and Rs 1,499 per year.
Reliance Jio also recently launched another prepaid plan with the same ad-supported JioHotstar subscription, priced at Rs 949.
It comes with unlimited voice calls, 100 SMS per day, and 2GB of high-speed 5G data daily. Once the daily data limit is used up, the speed drops to 64 kbps.
