iOS 18.4 Update for iPhone: Features
The update brings several new features. One of the major new features in the iOS 18.4 update is Visual Intelligence for iPhone 15 Pro models. This was first introduced with the iPhone 16. It helps users learn about objects and places instantly. It can summarise text, detect phone numbers or email addresses, and add them to contacts. It can also translate between languages. It also enables users to web search for the product they like, solve math problems, or simply ask ChatGPT for more information.
This feature uses the new Camera Control button on the iPhone 16 models. However, iPhone 15 Pro users can access it through the Action button or a special toggle in the Control Centre.
The update brings a special Apple Vision Pro app for iPhone. This app makes it easier to find and download immersive content. Additionally, it also brings a Guest Mode, allowing users to control which apps their guests can access. It also offers a feature named Review Summaries. It combines individual user reviews into one clear summary.
The iOS 18.4 update also introduced new toggles for two features: Talk to Siri and Visual Intelligence. There’s also a new Ambient Mode toggle that lets users play relaxing background sounds. Additionally, the Image Playground app now offers Sketch as an additional style option, along with animation and illustration. The update also brings improvements to Apple News+. The app now shows recipes from global publishers and offers a catalogue to help users find the perfect dish.
