The POCO X8 5G has the largest battery in this list at 9,000mAh, with 67W wired charging. Its 6.83-inch 1.5K AMOLED panel runs at 120Hz with up to 3,500nits peak brightness, according to Beebom’s launch report. The phone is rated IP68 and IP69.

Flipkart now lists the 6GB + 128GB model at Rs 26,999, and 91mobiles notes that Amazon prices for the higher variants are noticeably higher.
Software support is four years of OS updates and six years of security updates, per 91mobiles. The rear setup has a 50MP main camera with OIS and a 2MP depth sensor, and there is no NFC.

Best for software support: Samsung Galaxy M47 5G
Samsung promises six years of OS and security updates for the Galaxy M47 5G, the longest commitment in this list. It runs One UI 8.5 on Android 16 and uses a 6.7-inch FHD+ Super AMOLED display with 120Hz refresh and Gorilla Glass Victus+.
The phone has a Snapdragon 6 Gen 3 chipset, a 6,000mAh battery with 45W charging, and a 50MP main camera with OIS. It also has NFC. Beebom reported a launch price of Rs 22,999 for the 6GB + 128GB variant with a coupon discount.
The price has been unstable. 91mobiles reported in July that Samsung’s own website showed prices Rs 7,000 higher than the Rs 25,999 launch list price, while Amazon listed the phone at the lower figure. Check both stores before buying.
Best for a large AMOLED screen and long battery: Redmi Note 17 5G
The Redmi Note 17 5G has an 8,000mAh silicon-carbon battery, 45W charging in the box and an AMOLED display with 120Hz refresh and up to 1,800nits peak brightness. Xiaomi promises four years of OS updates and six years of security updates. It carries an IP65 rating.
The chipset is the Snapdragon 4 Gen 4, which is a more basic processor than the Snapdragon 6s Gen 4 in the POCO X8 or the Dimensity 7400 Turbo in the vivo T5x. The rear camera is a 50MP main sensor and the selfie camera is 8MP.
Business Today reported launch prices of Rs 27,999 and Rs 30,999 for the 6GB and 8GB variants, with introductory prices of Rs 24,999 and Rs 27,999. The introductory prices applied at launch in August, and 91mobiles lists the 6GB model at Rs 27,999 on Amazon now.
Best for performance and charging speed: Motorola Edge 70 Fusion
The Motorola Edge 70 Fusion uses the Snapdragon 7s Gen 4, a tier above the Snapdragon 6-series chips in the POCO X8 and Galaxy M47. It has a 6.8-inch AMOLED display at 144Hz with a stated peak brightness of 5,200nits, a 7,000mAh battery and 68W wired charging.
The camera is a 50MP Sony LYTIA 710 main sensor with OIS, a 13MP ultra-wide and a 32MP front camera. The phone is rated IP68 and IP69, and Motorola promises three OS upgrades and five years of security updates, according to ETV Bharat.
It launched on 6 March 2026 at Rs 26,999 for 8GB + 128GB, with a Rs 24,999 effective price using bank and exchange offers. 91mobiles lists it at Rs 29,749 on Flipkart on 13 October, so it sits close to the Rs 30,000 limit.
Best value LCD option: vivo T5x
The vivo T5x has a 7,200mAh battery with 44W charging, a 6.76-inch FHD+ LCD at 120Hz and the MediaTek Dimensity 7400 Turbo chipset. vivo’s product page lists 1,200nits peak brightness, a 50MP Sony main camera and a 32MP front camera.
ETV Bharat reported IP68 and IP69+ ratings and two years of OS upgrades plus four years of security updates at launch. That support period is the shortest here, and the display is an LCD, not AMOLED. At Rs 27,144 to Rs 27,499 for the 6GB model, it costs about the same as AMOLED rivals that promise longer updates.
Which phone should you buy?
- Battery first: POCO X8 5G, for the 9,000mAh cell and IP68 rating at the lowest listed price.
- Updates first: Samsung Galaxy M47 5G, for six years of OS and security support.
- Balanced performance: Motorola Edge 70 Fusion, for the higher-tier chipset, 144Hz display and 68W charging.
- Big battery with AMOLED: Redmi Note 17 5G, if you can accept the entry-level chipset.
- Think twice: vivo T5x, since its price has risen well above launch and it has an LCD and the shortest software support here.
