Since the launch of Threads, Meta has been continuously introducing new and fresh functionalities to enhance the app. Reportedly, Meta is now working on a new feature that will allow users to post Instagram Reels directly to Threads.
This can be a part of Meta’s plan to enable cross-posting functionality.
App researcher Alessandro Paluzzi mentioned on Threads that “Threads is working on letting us share our Instagram posts and Reels directly from the post composer.”

According to the screenshot shared by Paluzzi, the drop-down menu on Threads now includes a new Instagram option, alongside the existing GIF, Voice, and Poll features.
The company confirmed to TechCrunch that it is indeed testing the feature.
Paluzzi mentioned, “It shows you a bottom sheet with your Instagram posts and Reels from which you can choose what to import to Threads.”

Earlier this year, Meta began testing a feature that automatically cross-posts content from Instagram to Threads. The company had also been testing a similar feature on Facebook around the same time.
This feature will help users gain more engagement and increase the visibility of their content.
