Airtel, a telecommunications service provider, faced a major outage on the morning of September 26.
This outage affected the mobile internet, signal reception, and overall connectivity. Thousands of people reported connectivity issues, leaving them frustrated.
Over 3,000 reports of the issue were filed, according to the Downdetector, a platform that tracks service disruptions.
Of the complaints, around 22% of users reported issues with mobile connectivity, 46% experienced a complete blackout, and 32% reported trouble getting any mobile signal.
Many users expressed their dissatisfaction on social media and urged Airtel to provide clarity and address the issue. Most of the complaints are reported from Gujrat, Delhi, Jaipur, Surat, Mumbai and Ahmedabad. Other regions like Lucknow, Kolkata, Chennai, etc have also reported partial downtime
