Airtel Launches Internet Protocol Television Services: Everything You Need to Know!

Airtel customers can get up to 30 days of free service when they purchase an Internet Protocol Television plan through the Airtel Thanks App.

Bharti Airtel has launched its Internet Protocol Television (IPTV) services in 2000 cities India. Customers will get access to an extensive library of on-demand content from 29 prominent Streaming Apps including Netflix, Apple TV+, Amazon Prime, SonyLiv, Zee5, 600 popular television channels, and Wi-Fi service at plans starting Rs 699. 

As a special introductory offer, Airtel customers can get up to 30 days of free service when they purchase an IPTV plan through the Airtel Thanks App.

Airtel IPTV Plans

The Rs 699 plan offers 350 TV channels, access to 26 streaming apps, and a 40 Mbps Wi-Fi connection. While the Rs 899 plan offers same benefits but with a faster 100 Mbps speed. For even higher speeds, the Rs 1,099 plan provides 200 Mbps Wi-Fi and access to 28 streaming apps, including Apple TV+ and Amazon Prime. 

The another two plans costs Rs 1,599 and Rs 3,000 which include Netflix, increasing the total number of streaming apps to 29. They also offer 350 TV channels, with internet speeds of 300 Mbps and 1 Gbps, respectively. 

The new customers can enjoy Airtel’s IPTV services by purchasing a new Wi-Fi plans. Existing users can upgrade to an IPTV plan through the Airtel Thanks App or by visiting an Airtel store.

IPTV service is available in 2000 cities across India, except for Delhi, Rajasthan, Assam and the Northeastern states where the launch is expected in few weeks, as per the company.

Commenting on the launch, Siddharth Sharma, CEO of Connected Homes and Chief Marketing Officer, Bharti Airtel, said, “The launch heralds a new era in home entertainment where cutting-edge technology seamlessly blends traditional linear TV with a bouquet of streaming Apps for an immersive digital experience for customers. Backed by Airtel’s high-speed Wi-Fi, we are certain that consumers will have a fantastic converged home experience with Airtel IPTV.”
