L’Oreal has introduced its latest beauty gadget, the Cell BioPrint, at the Consumer Electronics Show (CES).
This can analyze your skin type and give personalized tips to reduce signs of aging. The technology was created in partnership with NanoEntek, a Korean start-up that makes chips for reading biofluids.
The Cell BioPrint analyzes a facial tape strip that users stick on their cheeks. The facial tape strip is dipped in a solution and put into a cartridge for testing.
Once the sample is processed, the device takes images of the user’s face as they respond to short questions regarding skin concerns and aging. The gadget uses a technique that studies protein structure and function from biological samples called proteomics.
The device can determine how well your skin is aging. Based on the analysis, it offers personalized tips to enhance your skin and predicts how your skin might respond to different skincare ingredients.
The company also suggests that the Cell BioPrint can even predict future skin issues before they arise. For example, it might tell if your skin is likely to develop dark spots or large pores.
With Cell BioPrint, the company aims to make skincare simpler and easier to understand through science.
The device offers personalized tips based on your biology, a major advancement in the field of beauty tech.
As per the company, it is easy to use and can analyze your skin in five minutes, allowing users to track changes and progress over time.
