Samsung has announced the launch date of One UI 7, its Android 15-based operating system (OS). It will be available from April 7 for the Galaxy S24 series, Galaxy Z Fold 6, and Galaxy Z Flip 6, as per the company.
According to the newsroom post, the South Korean Company will roll out this update to more devices in the coming weeks. The company confirmed that One UI 7 will also available for the Galaxy S24 FE, the Galaxy S23 series, Galaxy S23 FE, Galaxy Z Fold 5, Galaxy Z Flip 5, Galaxy Tab S10 series and the Galaxy Tab S9 series. However, the exact release date for these devices has not been announced yet.
The update introduces a new feature named Now Bar, a rectangular pill-shaped bar located at the bottom of the screen with multiple cards. It displays a range of useful information and insights on the lock screen.
Samsung has also upgraded Galaxy AI with new features, including AI Select that allows users to highlight specific parts of the screen. The Writing Assist enable text formatting and summarization. Drawing Assist can turn rough sketches or text descriptions into images.
The update also adds Audio Eraser, which can remove unwanted noise and isolate categories of sounds from videos. It also improves integration with Gemini, Google’s AI chatbot, for faster responses to questions. Additionally, users can now search in Settings using natural language.
