The company hasn’t shared details yet, but the event titled ‘AI PCs for Everyone’ suggests that the new processors will bring AI features to budget-friendly devices. This platform can be used in a wide range of thermal designs and form factors, as per the company.
It is said that Snapdragon X CPUs will be made using a 4nm process and will have eight Oryon cores, reaching speeds of up to 3GHz.
This is slower compared to the Snapdragon X Plus and Elite versions, which have up to 3.4GHz and up to 3.8GHz clock speeds, respectively. Meanwhile, the Qualcomm Adreno GPU supports up to three external 4K displays at 60Hz.
This chip can handle up to 64GB of LPDDR5x RAM with a 30MB total cache and a memory speed of 135GB per second. It is equipped with a Hexagon NPU, which can deliver 45 trillion operations per second (TOPS) of AI performance.
As per the company, its latest chipsets offer up to twice the battery life and 163% faster performance than other competing processors. It also supports 5G, Wi-Fi 7, and Bluetooth 5.4, USB 4 Type-C connectivity.
