What is the Vivo V80 price in India?

The V80 comes in three storage options, all with 8GB of physical RAM. Vivo’s own product page also lists 16GB of extended RAM. The prices below are the India launch prices reported by 91mobiles.

Variant Launch price in India

8GB + 256GB Rs 69,999

Vivo’s page counts the phone as 24GB of RAM when the extended 16GB is included. Extended RAM is virtual memory borrowed from storage, so the physical 8GB is the figure to use when comparing with other phones.

What is the Vivo V80 sale date?

Pre-booking started on 6 October 2026, and the first sale is on 13 October 2026. 91mobiles lists vivo’s online store, Amazon India, Flipkart and offline stores as sales channels. NewsBytes names Flipkart and vivo’s online store. Retailer listings can vary by region, so confirm availability in your city.

Display and software: what changed from the V70?

The 6.59-inch AMOLED panel has a 2750 x 1260 resolution and a 144Hz refresh rate, which 91mobiles describes as an upgrade over the V70. Vivo quotes 5,000 nits of local peak brightness and 1,800 nits in high brightness mode, plus a 1 nit minimum for night use.

The chip, battery and software are the other points of change. The Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 is carried over, the battery is the biggest on a V-series phone, and the V80 is the first in the line to ship with Android 17. A 3D ultrasonic fingerprint sensor sits under the display.

The V80 runs OriginOS 7 based on Android 17. Vivo has promised four OS upgrades and six years of security updates, as reported by 91mobiles at launch. Check vivo’s product page for any change to these figures.

Battery and charging on the Vivo V80

The 7,200mAh cell is the largest battery on any V-series phone so far. Vivo rates the typical capacity at 7,200mAh and the rated capacity at 7,015mAh. Charging runs at up to 90W, and vivo says the phone reaches 50 per cent in about 30 minutes in fast-charging mode.

The page also lists bypass charging. These are company claims that we have not tested, so real-world battery life may differ.

Which other phones are launching in India in October 2026?

Several other launches are reported for the month. Smartprix lists the Redmi 17C 5G, which launched on 1 October at Rs 20,999 for 4GB and 128GB, with the 6GB model at Rs 22,999, and sale from 7 October.

Phone Status Price
Redmi 17C 5G Launched 1 October Rs 20,999 and Rs 22,999
Vivo S2 FE Launch set for 6 October, specs reportedly include a 10,000mAh battery Not confirmed
Motorola Edge 70 Neo Confirmed for India, date not announced Not confirmed
Oppo F35 and F35 Pro Reportedly launching in October Estimates only

Only the Redmi 17C 5G has an official price in that list. The rest are leaks or estimates, so treat them as unconfirmed until the brands announce them.

Should you buy the Vivo V80?

The V80 uses the same Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 chip as the V70. 91mobiles notes that the chip trails the processors in rivals such as the iQOO 15R and OnePlus 15R, which means the phone’s case rests on the display, cameras, battery and design rather than raw speed.

The step between variants is small: the 256GB model costs Rs 7,000 more than the base, and the 512GB model costs Rs 10,000 more than the 256GB model. Buyers who store many photos and 4K videos may find the 256GB model the better value, while the 128GB variant suits users who rely on cloud storage.

At Rs 62,999, it also sits close to other camera-focused phones. Before the launch, 91mobiles listed the Oppo Reno 16 at Rs 66,999. Compare the final street price after bank offers, since the gap between phones in this range often changes during festive sales.

What to check before buying

  • The final price on each store, since bank offers and exchange values differ between retailers.
  • The variant, as RAM stays at 8GB and only storage changes.
  • Delivery dates in your city, because sale-day stock can run short.
  • The warranty terms listed by the seller.
