WhatsApp is introducing new features to enhance users’ audio and video call experience. The messaging platform now allows users to select specific participants from a group chat for calls without disrupting the rest.
To make the video calls more interesting, the messaging platform offers ten effects that transform the video calls into even more fun conversations, ranging from puppy ears to underwater and a karaoke microphone. Users can pick any effect in a video call.
WhatsApp also added several new features in the desktop calls tab. Now, users can start a call, create a call link, or dial a number directly. It also offers better video quality for both individual and group calls, giving you a clearer picture.
Last month WhatsApp introduced a typing indicator; this feature shows the visual cues and profile images of the users who are typing in both one-on-one and group chats, improving clarity during conversations.
Another feature introduced last month was the ‘Message Draft.’ This allows users to save incomplete messages and finish them later.
