Samsung is said to be working on new motion controllers for Project Moohan, its first Android XR headset. Samsung’s ‘Project Moohan’ uses front cameras to control the UI by tracking hand gestures like the Apple Vision Pro. Samsung will add support for physical controllers with its Android XR headset.
As per the report of SamMobile, they discovered references to a controller with the model number ET-OI610. However, it is not clear where this information was found—whether in code, marketing materials, or other sources. The controllers might not be included with the headset, but it will be available separately for gaming and other uses, as per the report.
Samsung first showed the prototype at its Galaxy Unpacked event alongside the Galaxy S25 series and later at MWC 2025. It will be the first device to run on the new Android XR OS. The company also claims that the Project Moohan XR headset will support advanced AI features. According to the teaser, shown at the Galaxy Unpacked event, users can control it with eye movements, hand gestures, and voice commands.
