Amazon has launched a compact and customizable smart alarm clock, the Echo Spot. It’s the newest addition to Amazon’s lineup of Alexa-enabled Echo devices. It comes with colorful displays, customizable clock faces, and new alarm sounds.
It features a front-facing speaker, which allows users to play music from Amazon Music, Apple Music, and Spotify. Users can also use voice commands to make requests with the help of Alexa. It comes with a price tag of Rs 6,449.
The current price is an introductory one and will only be available for a limited time, but the company hasn’t shared what it will cost later. Meanwhile, Amazon’s listed price is Rs. 8,999. It is available for purchase on the Amazon website from today.
It is available in two color options: black and blue. It comes with a 2.83-inch touchscreen that shows the time, alarms, weather, and music that is playing.
It also allows users to personalize their alarm clock with six themes—blue, lime, magenta, orange, teal, and violet—or to create a different clock style. Users can mix and match them.
The night mode lets you use it by your bedside to check the time at night. It lets users set alarms with their favorite songs through voice commands.
There are four new alarm sounds to choose from—Aurora, Daybreak, Endeavour, and Flutter—which can be turned off by asking Alexa or tapping the clock.
As per the company, Amazon Echo Spot also works with smart home products, allowing users to automate daily tasks. Using ultrasound motion detection, users can set up routines to turn on lights or play music when they enter a room.
