Apple has rolled out security updates for iOS 18, iPadOS 18, and macOS Sequoia. These updates are released to fix a security flaw that hackers used to target some people, as per the company.
According to Apple’s release for iOS 18.3.2 and iPadOS 18.3.2, the updates fix an important security flaw that affects WebKit, the browser engine used on Safari. This same flaw (CVE-2025-24201) has also been fixed in macOS Sequoia 15.3.2 and visionOS 2.3.2.
According to the company, allows malicious web content to escape the Web Content sandbox. This flaw could allow hackers to easily access a user’s system and perform unauthorized actions.
Apple said that hackers might have used this flaw in a highly advanced attack on specific people using older iOS versions before 17.2. The issue was first fixed in the iOS 17.2 update, released in December 2023.
Apple rolled out iOS 18.3.1 and iPadOS 18.3.1 last month to fix a security flaw. This flaw allowed attackers to turn off USB Restricted Mode on a locked device. The company also released iOS 18.3, iPadOS 18.3.1, and macOS 15.3 to fix the security issue that allowed harmful applications to get extra control over the device. The company said hackers had used this flaw to target people with devices running iOS 17.2 or older.
