Apple is expected to launch the iPhone 17 Air later this year. It is said that the iPhone 17 Air could be Apple’s thinnest phone to date, measuring just 5.5mm thick and featuring a single rear camera. Now, an image surfaced online that appears to show a 3D-printed model of the iPhone 17 Air placed next to a model of the iPhone 17 Pro, which is expected to have three rear cameras.
An image shared by a tipster with a username @majinbuofficial on X (formerly known as Twitter) shows what seems to be a 3D-printed model of the iPhone 17 Air on a wooden table. Next to it, on the left, is said to be a model of the iPhone 17 Pro. The camera modules are facing up but appear blurred, though still faintly visible.

According to the previous reports, the iPhone 17 Air will be just 5.5mm thick. It is said that it will have a similar height (163mm) and width (77.6mm) as the iPhone 17 Pro Max, which is said to have the same size as the iPhone 16 Pro Max. This means that the it might be 3.2mm thinner compared to the iPhone 17 Pro Max (and possibly the iPhone 17 Pro, based on last year’s sizes).
The image features this difference, making the iPhone 17 Air look much slimmer than the iPhone 17 Pro. It is said that the iPhone 17 camera module could be thicker. As per the reports, the camera bump will be 4mm, making it 9.5mm thick.
