A user on Weibo, Digital Chat Station, shared a post claiming that Ouga Lab, the joint research team of Oppo and OnePlus, is testing a new battery. This battery will support 80W SuperVOOC charging, as per the tipster.

This silicon-carbon battery reportedly has an 8,000mAh capacity and supports 80W charging.
Last year, when OnePlus launched the Ace 3 Pro, the company claimed that its Si/C battery had the highest silicon content at 6 percent. Now, the new battery being tested by Ouga Lab is said to increase that to 15 percent, according to the tipster.
It’s still uncertain whether the 8,000mAh battery will be featured in future Oppo and OnePlus phones. Last December, reports suggested that t Xiaomi and OnePlus were working on smartphones with 7,000mAh batteries, expected to launch in 2025. The Xiaomi 15 Pro and OnePlus 13 houses 6,100mAh and 6,000mAh batteries, respectively.
