Samsung has launched the Galaxy S25 series at Unpacked 2025 event 2025. The series comes with advanced AI features in partnership with Google. The Samsung Galaxy S25 series will be the first to get AI features in Google’s Gemini Live such as Screen Share and Live Video.
The company also teased the Samsung Galaxy S25 Edge smartphone. It will join the Galaxy S25 lineup, which already includes the Galaxy S25, Galaxy S25+, and Galaxy S25 Ultra. The company hasn’t revealed the features yet, but it is expected to have a slimmer design than the other Galaxy S25 models.
Google’s Gemini Live will now let users practice presentations, get spoken feedback, and share images, files, and YouTube videos in conversations. With the latest features like Live Video and Screen Share, the company aims to provide a more interactive and natural AI experience starting with the Galaxy S25 series.
The enhanced Gemini AI is fully integrated into apps and services on the Samsung Galaxy S25 series. With just one prompt, users can make the AI perform multiple tasks across different apps.
For instance, if you’re looking for nearby restaurants, Gemini can use Google Maps to suggest options and then help you send those suggestions through Google Messages. The company also introduced new Gemini Extensions for Samsung Calendar, Samsung Clock, Samsung Notes, and Samsung Reminder.
Samsung is also planning to launch Project Astra, Google’s real-time AI assistant, with features like screen sharing and live video streaming in the coming months. Initially available on the Gemini app for Android, later it will be rolled out to the Galaxy S25 series. Additionally, the company is also introducing a dedicated side button on the Galaxy S25 for instant access to Gemini, which will allow users to quickly set reminders, save notes, or get meeting details with just one press.
