Xiaomi has confirmed the launching date of the Xiaomi 15 and the Xiaomi 15 Ultra in India. This announcement came just hours after the 15 series was introduced in some global markets ahead of MWC 2025 in Barcelona. According to the company’s post on X (formerly known as Twitter), the Xiaomi 15 and Xiaomi 15 Ultra will be launched on March 11 at 12pm IST.
The Ultra model will come in the Silver Chrome colour option and the standard model will come in the Bright Silver colourway, as per the post. The standard Xiaomi 15 was first launched in China in October last year, along with the Xiaomi 15 Pro, which remains exclusive to China. The Ultra version was launched in China on February 28.
Xiaomi 15 Global Version Specifications
The Xiaomi 15 is said to have the same features as the global version, but the company hasn’t confirmed this yet. The global model features a 6.36-inch 8T LTPO AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate. It is powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset and offers up to 16GB of LPDDR5X RAM and up to 1TB of UFS 4.0 storage.
It houses a 5,240mAh battery and supports 90W wired fast charging as well as 50W wireless charging.
The handset features a Leica-branded triple camera setup, featuring a 50 MP main camera with optical image stabilization (OIS), a 50 MP telephoto lens, and a 50 MP ultra-wide-angle camera. It features a 32 MP camera.
Xiaomi 15 Ultra Global Version Specifications
The Xiaomi 15 Ultra was launched on Sunday in some select global markets. It features a 6.73-inch WQHD+ quad-curved LTPO AMOLED screen with a 120Hz refresh rate. The phone is powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset and comes with up to 16GB of LPDDR5X RAM and up to 512GB of UFS 4.1 storage.
It comes with a quad rear camera setup, featuring a 50 MP primary shooter with a 1-inch type LYT-900 sensor, a 50 MP ultrawide sensor, a 50 MP Sony IMX858 telephoto camera with 3x optical zoom, and a 200 MP ISOCELL HP9 periscope telephoto camera with 4.3x optical zoom.
Selfies and video calls are handled by the 32 MP front camera. It has a 5,410mAh battery and supports 90W fast charging with a cable and 80W wireless charging.
