Instagram has announced new features for broadcast channels to help creators engage with their audience and understand them on a deeper level. The social media platform has introduced three new features: Replies, Prompts, and Insights and best practices.
Replies
The Replies feature helps users engage and communicate with their creators by responding to texts. It gives a chance to have real back-and-forth conversations on the channel. Just like comments, it allows you to delete or report any response.

How to turn on the Replies feature
Follow these simple steps to turn on the Replies feature.
Tap the channel name > Channel controls >Enable the Allow members to reply to messages.
Prompts
Considering the challenges of rolling the conversation the social media platform introduces the Prompts feature. Prompts generate buzz in your channel by providing the audience with something to respond to and, in turn, an opportunity to interact with one another. Creators can choose from suggested topics or create a custom prompt that suits their channel perfectly. Fans can like their favorite responses and reply with text or images for a maximum of 24 hours. When the creator replies to a prompt response, the text is also shared in the main channel, giving everyone a reason to check back in.

Insights and best practices
With these interactive features, Instagram is also rolling out metrics to monitor engagement effectively.
