Apple has announced that it will host its annual Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC) from June 9 to June 13. Developers and students will also have the opportunity to celebrate in person during a special event at Apple Park on June 9. They will also get a chance to meet Apple experts for one-on-one and group sessions.
WWDC 2025 will be held online and will be free for all developers. WWDC 2025 will showcase the latest advancements in Apple’s software.
“As part of Apple’s ongoing commitment to supporting developers, the conference will provide them with unique access to Apple experts, as well as insight into new tools, frameworks, and features,” Apple said in a blog post.
Apart from this, on March 27, this year’s Swift Student Challenge applicants will be notified of their status, and winners will be eligible to apply for the special event at Apple Park, according to the blog post.
Additionally, Apple will invite 50 Distinguished Winners, who are recognized for outstanding submissions, to Cupertino, California, for a three-day experience.
The Cupertino tech giant is said to unveil the next-generation software updates like iOS 19, iPadOS 19, macOS 16, watchOS 12, tvOS 19, and visionOS 3 at the WWDC 2025.
According to reports, Apple is planning a major redesign for iOS, iPadOS, and macOS. The iPhone and Mac operating systems are expected to get their biggest redesigns in 12 years (iOS 7) and five years (macOS 11), respectively.
The new updates may feature refreshed icons, menus, and other system elements, taking inspiration from visionOS.
