Xiaomi officially unveiled the Redmi A4 5G on October 16 at the India Mobile Congress (IMC) 2024. At the event, the company revealed that the smartphone would be priced below Rs 10,000.
After the announcement, various speculations surfaced. Amid these, now a report suggests that the price will be lower than expected but still higher than the launch price of the Redmi A3 in India.
According to a report by Smartprix, the much-awaited Redmi A4 5G will be available for just Rs 8,499, including all the launch offers and discounts. The base storage variant will be 4/128 GB.
That means the price will be slightly higher without offers and discounts. However, even at this price point, it will be the most affordable 5G phone in India.
The Redmi A4 5G will feature the 4nm Snapdragon 4s Gen 2 SoC. It will be the first smartphone to use this chip in India. As per the report, it will have a 6.7-inch IPS LCD display with a 90 Hz refresh rate and a resolution of HD+. It will run Android 14 out of the box, with the new HyperOS 1.0 skin.
The device may get a 50 MP main lens with an f/1.8 aperture. It may feature an 8 MP front camera. Additionally, it will feature a 5,000mAh battery with 18W fast charging, a side-mounted fingerprint scanner, and a USB Type-C port.
