Samsung is soon to launch a new Galaxy F-series smartphone in India. The South Korean company teased the phone on Flipkart without revealing the name. It is expected that it will be the Galaxy F16.
The company has made the support page for the purported phone live on its official website. The handset is also spotted on certification and benchmarking sites. The Galaxy F16 is expected to be powered by a MediaTek Dimensity 6300 processor. It is said it will feature 8GB of RAM.
Flipkart has set up a dedicated page on its website teasing the launch of a new Samsung phone in India (also available on the app).
The listing shows the letter F and a tagline, “Samsung got something fresh on the way”, hinting at a new Galaxy F series phone. Samsung hasn’t confirmed the name yet, but it is expected that the Galaxy F16 may be revealed soon.
The Galaxy F16 support page with model number SM-E166P/DS is live on the company’s official website. The phone was previously spotted on the Wi-Fi Alliance database, which showed it will support dual-band Wi-Fi connectivity.
The Galaxy F06, which is still unannounced, was also seen on the Geekbench website, featuring a MediaTek Dimensity 6300 SoC, 8GB of RAM, and an Android 14 operating system.
The Galaxy F16 is expected to hit the market as a rebranded version of the Galaxy A16. The handset was launched in India in October of last year. It is priced at Rs 18,999.
It comes with a 6.7-inch full-HD+ AMOLED screen and a 90Hz refresh rate. It is powered by a MediaTek Dimensity 6300 processor.
It offers 8GB of RAM and up to 256GB of storage. It comes with a triple-camera setup, including a 50 MP primary camera and a 13 MP front camera. It houses a 5,000mAh battery with 25W charging support.
