Spotify has introduced a new feature called Offline Backup for its premium users, allowing them to listen to music offline.
It will automatically generate a playlist of tracks available for offline playback, even if they weren’t manually downloaded. It means users can easily play it anytime even when he or she has no internet connection.
It can be sorted and filtered by artist, mood, or even genre I have mentioned above.
The feature is set to start being available this week on the apps for iOS and Android and can integrate with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay as per Spotify.
The Offline Backup playlist will change over time, and users have the option to save it to their library for quick and easy access.
The company highlighted that this feature could be helpful for travelers boarding a flight without internet access, who forget to download any music beforehand.
How to use Offline Backup:
The Offline Backup feature will automatically show up in the home feed while users are not connected to the internet.
To get the offline playlist, users have to enable offline listening and listen to more than five songs recently. Users can enable offline listening by following this simple process.
Settings and Privacy> Storage > Offline listening and Settings and Privacy> Playback > Offline toggles.
The user can also add Offline Backup to their library for easy access at any time.
