WhatsApp is reportedly developing the latest feature for its iOS app that allows users to control multiple accounts on one device.
This will make it easy and simple to switch between accounts and eliminate the need to carry extra devices or use parallel apps. It is said that it will have a simple interface, allowing users to switch between accounts seamlessly.
WhatsApp is working on a multi-account feature for release on a future version of the app, as per WhatsApp feature tracker WABetaInfo. It was spotted in the iOS beta version 25.2.10.70.
A screenshot from a feature tracker suggests that this feature will allow users to add new accounts, and this feature will be available in the app settings. However, switching between accounts may require restarting the app.
Currently, users can use multiple accounts on the same device but with a workaround.
As per WABetaInfo, this new feature is still in the development stage and is not yet available to beta testers on Apple’s TestFlight program.
It is said that it will be rolled out to more WhatsApp for iOS beta users in the next few weeks. A similar feature was seen in the WhatsApp beta for Android version 2.23.17.8, and it was available to beta testers who joined the Google Play Beta program.
