Apple has already had a busy 2026. To avoid confusion, this explainer separates products that are already on sale, products announced but not yet shipping, and products that are only reported. Anything Apple has not confirmed is marked as reported, with the source named.
What has Apple already launched in 2026?
Several products that were rumoured a year ago are now official. According to Macworld’s 2026 product tracker, Apple released the M5 MacBook Air and M5 Pro and M5 Max MacBook Pro on 3 March, the low-cost MacBook Neo on 4 March, and the iPhone 17e in March. A new Mac mini and Mac Studio went on sale on 22 September.

At its 9 September event, Apple announced the iPhone 18 Pro, iPhone 18 Pro Max, the foldable iPhone Duo, Apple Watch Series 12, Apple Watch Ultra 4 and AirPods 5. The iPhone 18 Pro runs the A20 Pro chip and uses Apple’s new C2 modem. Apple also released iOS 27 and its other software updates in September. Our guide to the iOS 27 update in India lists the supported iPhones.
The iPhone Duo is the one September product still to reach stores. It has a 5.4-inch outer screen and a 7.6-inch inner screen, IP68 rating and ships with iOS 27.1. Apple’s India online store lists it from Rs 2,99,900 for 256GB, going up to Rs 4,49,900 for 2TB. Pre-orders open at 5:30 pm IST on 16 October, and sales begin on 23 October. TechInformer had earlier covered reports about the foldable iPhone’s display before launch.
The AirTag (second generation) is also listed by Macworld as a 2026 release, so a new AirTag is not among the products currently reported for the coming months.
What did Apple announce on 13 October 2026?
Apple announced four home products on 13 October. These are official, but none of them is in stores yet.
- Apple HomeView: Apple’s first smart home hub, with a 7-inch display, face recognition for up to six household members, FaceTime with Center Stage and Siri AI. It comes in a countertop version and a wall-mounted version, both priced at Rs 39,900 in India. Sales begin on 13 November.
- Apple TV 4K (4th generation): Runs the A19 chip, adds far-field microphones for hands-free Siri and a Siri Remote that works with Find My. The India price is Rs 39,900, and stores get it from 13 November.
- HomePod mini (next generation): Uses the S10 chip and comes in pink, green, blue, white and midnight. It costs Rs 18,900 in India and goes on sale on 30 October.
- Apple Home Collection: Smart home accessories made with LG Electronics and Schneider Electric, including cameras, a video doorbell, a smart lock and thermostats. Apple has listed them only for the US, Canada and the UK, so India availability has not been announced.
Apple says Siri AI is available at launch in English in India on Apple TV and HomeView. On the HomePod mini, Siri AI arrives later through a software update.

What is Apple expected to launch on 27 October?
Bloomberg reports that Apple will release new products on or around 27 October, with an online video presentation and hands-on sessions for media. Apple has not confirmed the date or the products. The reported line-up is:
- OLED touchscreen MacBook Pro: Reportedly in 14-inch and 16-inch sizes, thinner and lighter than current models, with a touchscreen and a Dynamic Island. Bloomberg suggests Apple will keep the MacBook Pro name rather than the “MacBook Ultra” name used in earlier rumours.
- M6 14-inch MacBook Pro: A separate entry-level model with the M6 chip, reportedly distinct from the OLED touchscreen models.
- M6 iMac: Reportedly a chip update with new colours, not a redesign, according to Macworld’s summary of the reports.
- OLED iPad mini: Reportedly gets an OLED display, a front camera on the long edge for video calls and a redesigned speaker system. MacRumors reports it could use the A20 Pro chip.
Separately, MacRumors notes that Apple had earlier said a high-end Mac Studio with the M5 Ultra chip and 512GB of memory would arrive in late October.

What is Apple expected to launch in early 2027?
Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman reported in September that Apple is planning a large set of launches in the first half of 2027. The biggest change is to the iPhone calendar. The standard iPhone 18 is reportedly moving from its usual September slot to spring 2027, alongside the iPhone 18e and a second-generation iPhone Air.
According to Gurman, the iPhone 18 and iPhone 18e will mainly get the A20 chip, with few other changes. MacRumors, citing analyst Ming-Chi Kuo, reports the iPhone 18e may get 9GB of RAM, up from 8GB on the iPhone 17e. Gurman expects the 18e in March or April. The iPhone Air 2 is reportedly getting a second rear camera, a larger battery and vapour chamber cooling.
The same Bloomberg report lists an M6 MacBook Air, an OLED iPad Air and a MacBook Neo 2 for the first half of 2027. The MacBook Neo 2 is reportedly moving to the A19 Pro chip with 12GB of RAM. Further out, Bloomberg has reported camera-equipped AirPods for 2027, and Macworld’s tracker lists Apple smart glasses as a possible 2027 launch. None of these has a confirmed date.
Should you buy an Apple product now or wait in India?
The answer depends on which product line you are looking at. Here is how the current reports line up with what is on sale.
- MacBook Pro and iMac: New models are reportedly about two weeks away. Buying a current model now means it will soon stop being the latest version.
- iPad mini: An OLED model is reported for late October. Apple has not announced its India price.
- iPhone 17 and iPhone 17e: Their successors are reportedly not due until spring 2027, so the current base models will remain Apple’s latest non-Pro iPhones for several months.
- HomePod mini, Apple TV and HomeView: India prices are already official, and pre-orders are open on Apple’s India online store.
- MacBook Air: The M5 model launched in March, and an M6 version is reportedly not due until the first half of 2027.
Launch dates for India can differ from the US. For the reported October Macs and iPad mini, India prices and sale dates will only be clear once Apple announces them.
