Apple previously announced that this week would be dedicated to exciting announcements. As promised, Apple has introduced the latest Mac mini powered by the M4 and new M4 Pro chips.
It is now super compact, measuring just 5 by 5 inches. It is also built for Apple Intelligence.
Compared with the M1 model, the M4 Mac mini offers 1.8x faster CPU performance and 2.2x faster GPU performance. M4 Pro scales up the advanced technologies in M4 to tackle even more demanding workloads.
Mac mini powered by M4 offers a 10-core CPU, and 10-core GPU, and now starts with 16GB of unified memory.
The Mac mini with M4 Pro comes with 64GB of unified memory and 273GB/s memory bandwidth, ideal for AI workloads.
Mac mini offers front-facing, including two USB-C ports that support USB 3, and an audio jack with support for high-impedance headphones.
The M4 Mac mini comes with three Thunderbolt 4 ports on the back, whereas the Mac mini with M4 Pro offers three Thunderbolt 5 ports.
The Mac mini comes with Gigabit Ethernet and can be upgraded to 10Gb Ethernet for faster networking. It also has an HDMI port, making it easy to connect to a TV or HDMI display without needing an adapter.
Mac mini with M4 can support up to two 6K displays and up to one 5K display, While Mac mini with M4 Pro can support up to three 6K displays at 60Hz for a total of over 60 million pixels.
Availability
Customers can pre-order the new M4 iMac from the official online store of Apple and the Apple Store app in 28 countries and regions, including the U.S. It will arrive to customers and be available in Apple Store locations and through Apple Authorized Resellers on November 8.
