New M4 iMac with referencing colors & 16GB RAM
Apple has started its ‘exciting week of announcements’ by unveiling a new iMac with the M4 processor and Apple Intelligence features. It comes with a 24-inch 4.5k Retina display which offers a new nano-texture glass option to reduce reflections and glare. It comes with a 12MP Center Satge camera and Desk View, making video calls more engaging. It offers a wide range of color options including, green, yellow, orange, pink, purple, and blue, alongside silver.
iMac with an 8-core CPU, an 8-core GPU, 16GB of unified memory configurable up to 24GB, 256GB SSD configurable up to 1TB two Thunderbolt/USB 4 ports, Magic Keyboard, and Magic Mouse or Magic Trackpad, costs Rs 134900.
iMac with a 10-core CPU and 10-core GPU, 16GB of unified memory configurable up to 32GB, 256GB SSD configurable up to 2TB, four Thunderbolt 4 ports, Magic Keyboard with Touch ID, and Magic Mouse or Magic Trackpad, costs Rs 154900.
New Mac mini with M4 Chip
Apple has announced the new Mac mini powered by the M4 and new M4 Pro chips. It is super compact, measuring just 5 by 5 inches. It is also built for Apple Intelligence. The Mac mini powered by M4 offers a 10-core CPU and 10-core GPU and now starts with 16GB of unified memory.
The M4 Mac mini offers three Thunderbolt 4 ports on the back, whereas the Mac mini with M4 Pro comes with three Thunderbolt 5 ports.
The Mac mini with M4 costs Rs 59,900, whereas the Mac mini with M4 Pro costs Rs 1,49,900.
The MacBook Pro with a major performance boost
Apple has given the MacBook Pro a major performance boost. It is powered by the M4 family of chips including M4, M4 Pro, and M4 Max. It comes in a 14-inch model and 16-inch model as well with a nano-texture display. The 14-inch MacBook Pro powered by M4 comes with three Thunderbolt 4 ports and 16GB of memory, whereas the 14- and 16-inch models with M4 Pro and M4 Max come with Thunderbolt 5. It is available in space black and silver finishes.
The 14-inch MacBook Pro with M4 costs Rs 1,69,900. The 14‑inch MacBook Pro with M4 Pro starts at Rs 1,89,900 and the 16‑inch MacBook Pro starts at Rs 2,09,900.
The MacBook Air with 16GB RAM
Apple has announced that the M2 and M3 MacBook Air will now come with a minimum of 16GB of RAM. The price still starts at Rs 83,998.78. Previously, upgrading the MacBook Air’s RAM to 16GB customers had to pay an extra ₹16,817.27.
Apple Intelligence
Apple has released the first set of Apple Intelligence features for iPhone, iPad, and Mac users. The first includes Writing Tools, a clean-up tool, notification summaries, and a typing input for the redesigned Siri experience.
The company has promised that more advanced features of Apple Intelligence will come in December. Apple Intelligence will bring additional capabilities, including Genmoji, Image Playground, Visual Intelligence, Image Wand, and ChatGPT integration, which will be rolled out in the coming months.
