For those with a large friend group looking to do a virtual gathering, or planning for a surprise, the social media platform also offers a group chat feature. This feature provides a convenient way to bring all your friends together virtually and chat with them.
By following these simple steps you can create a group chat with your friends and can plan group trips.
Step 1: Open your Instagram then go to Messenger.
Step 2: At the top right corner of your screen you will see an icon, click it.
Step 3: You will get an option ‘Create group chat’, click that option to initiate a new message.
Step 4: Start typing the usernames of the people you want to include in your group chat. Instagram will suggest usernames as you type. You can add up to 50 participants in a single group chat.
Step 5: After selecting people’s usernames, click on ‘Open group chat’.
Step 6: If you want to give some name to your group chat, tap on the ‘Chat name’ field at the top of the screen and enter a name for your group chat.
