The iPhone Duo price in India starts at Rs 2,99,900 for the 256GB model, as listed on Apple’s India online store. The 512GB model costs Rs 3,24,900, 1TB costs Rs 3,74,900 and 2TB costs Rs 4,49,900. Pre-orders open on 16 October 2026 at 5:30 pm IST and sales begin on 23 October.

That makes the iPhone Duo the most expensive iPhone Apple has sold in India. Below are the prices of every variant, the EMI options at launch, how much it costs in other countries, and whether buying abroad actually saves money.

iPhone Duo price in India: all variants

Storage India price Extra over base model
256GB Rs 2,99,900 Base model
512GB Rs 3,24,900 Rs 25,000
1TB Rs 3,74,900 Rs 75,000
2TB Rs 4,49,900 Rs 1,50,000

In the US, the base 256GB model costs $1,999 before sales tax.

All models have 12GB of RAM and the A20 Pro chip. The only difference between variants is storage. The phone comes in two colours: star white and night sky.

The jump from 256GB to 512GB is Rs 25,000, which is the best value upgrade if you shoot a lot of 4K video. The 2TB model costs Rs 1,50,000 more than the base model, which is hard to justify unless you need that much space on the phone itself.

What do you get for Rs 2,99,900?

  • A 7.6-inch inner folding display and a 5.4-inch outer display, both with ProMotion up to 120Hz and up to 3,000 nits peak brightness
  • A20 Pro chip with 12GB RAM and a vapour chamber for cooling
  • Two 48MP rear cameras (main and ultra wide)
  • Grade 5 titanium frame, Ceramic Shield 2 and IP68 water and dust resistance
  • Dual battery rated by Apple for up to 24 hours of mixed use
  • Touch ID in the side button, eSIM only, iOS 27.1

Apple does not include a charger in the box. The iPhone Duo can charge to 50% in about 20 minutes with a wired charger and about 30 minutes on MagSafe or Qi2.

iPhone Duo EMI options in India

Launch offers include No Cost EMI and an instant cashback on eligible bank cards. The figures below are for the 256GB model, as calculated by 91mobiles from the launch offers.

Tenure Monthly EMI Interest Approx. total paid
3 months Rs 97,633 No Cost EMI Rs 2,92,900 (after cashback)
6 months Rs 48,817 No Cost EMI Rs 2,92,900 (after cashback)
24 months About Rs 14,000 14% to 15% a year About Rs 3,40,842

The No Cost EMI totals assume the Rs 7,000 instant cashback on eligible bank cards. The cashback amount and eligible banks vary, so check the offer at checkout. On the 24-month plan, you pay about Rs 41,000 more than the sticker price in interest, even after the cashback.

Buying on a long EMI also blocks a large part of your credit card limit for months. If you can manage the higher monthly amount, the 6-month No Cost EMI is the cheapest way to spread the cost.

Where is the iPhone Duo cheapest?

The iPhone Duo is cheaper in most major markets than in India. 91mobiles compared the 256GB price across countries using exchange rates at the time of writing.

Country Local price (256GB) Approx. in INR
United States $1,999 (before sales tax) Rs 1.9 lakh
Canada CAD 2,999 Rs 2.06 lakh
Hong Kong HKD 17,499 Rs 2.12 lakh
UAE AED 8,499 Rs 2.2 lakh
Japan JPY 364,800 Rs 2.27 lakh
Singapore SGD 3,099 Rs 2.33 lakh
United Kingdom GBP 1,999 Rs 2.57 lakh
India Rs 2,99,900 Rs 3 lakh

On paper, buying in the US saves about Rs 1 lakh. In practice the saving is smaller once you add state sales tax in the US, card foreign exchange fees and Indian customs duty.

Should you buy the iPhone Duo abroad?

Indian customs allows a limited duty-free allowance on goods brought back by travellers. A phone worth close to Rs 2 lakh is well above that limit, so you are expected to declare it and pay duty on the value above the allowance. Check the current allowance and duty rate on the CBIC website before you travel, as they change from time to time.

A few other points to keep in mind:

  • Warranty: Apple’s one-year iPhone warranty is generally honoured across countries, but AppleCare+ bought abroad may not transfer to India.
  • eSIM: The iPhone Duo has no physical SIM slot. Jio, Airtel and Vi support eSIM, so a foreign unit will work, but check that the model is not carrier-locked.
  • UAE VAT refund: Tourists can claim a VAT refund when leaving the UAE, which lowers the effective price there.
  • Payment rules: In India, a purchase this size needs PAN details and cannot be paid fully in cash.

If you are travelling anyway, buying in the US or UAE can save money even after duty. Flying out only to buy the phone usually does not make sense once airfare is added.

Where to buy the iPhone Duo in India

You can pre-order the iPhone Duo on Apple’s India online store, at Apple’s own retail stores, and through Apple Authorised Resellers and large electronics chains. Bank offers and exchange values can differ between these channels, so compare the final price, including any cashback, before you pay. If you plan to trade in an older iPhone, get a quote from more than one store, as exchange values vary widely.

Is the iPhone Duo worth Rs 3 lakh?

The iPhone Duo is a first-generation product with a high price and expensive repairs. Replacing the inner screen alone costs Rs 1,49,900 without AppleCare+, as covered in our iPhone Duo repair cost guide. Budget about Rs 51,900 extra for AppleCare+ if you buy it.

At the current iPhone Duo price in India, it is a big purchase. If you want a foldable and use the Apple ecosystem, it is the only option. If you are open to Android, the Galaxy Z Fold 8 starts at Rs 1,79,999 in India, which is Rs 1,19,901 less. Read our iPhone Duo vs Galaxy Z Fold 8 comparison and our guide to how apps work on the iPhone Duo before you decide.
