The Nintendo Switch 2 is reportedly set to launch in March. According to the report from the Italian publication UAGNA, the successor to the Nintendo Switch will debut on the market on March 28, 2025.
There is no official confirmation from the company, but the speculated date aligns with the previous strategies of Nintendo, as the company usually launches major consoles close to the end of its fiscal year.
It is speculated that continuing the hybrid design of its original Switch, the Nintendo Switch 2 will also let users play both handheld and docked games on their TVs.
It is expected that the upcoming version of Switch will be fully compatible with the original Switch, so current Switch owners will be able to play their existing games on the new system without any problems.
It will also come with some major upgrades, such as improved JoyCon features and a dock that supports up to 4K resolution.
One of the most highly anticipated games is Metroid Prime 4: Beyond, which is expected to be a launch title for the Switch 2. It is also speculated that the new Legend Pokémon game will also be launched around the same time.
A new Mario Kart title is expected to be released as one of the most expensive games in Nintendo’s history.
