Facebook is one of the most popular social networking sites, which brings our loved ones closer even when they are far apart. It offers a range of features that help us to share our views, post life updates, and stay connected with family and friends.
One of the most popular features is the Timeline. However, there are times when our friends, or family on Facebook might share our details without our consent on our Timeline, which creates an awkward situation. While you always have an option to unfriend them, this isn’t always the ideal solution, as it may create distance between you and your loved ones.
The social media platform offers a solution for this by providing the option that allows you to restrict others from posting on your timeline without needing to unfriend them. By following these simple steps, you can make your Timeline private.
Step 1: Open Facebook on your device and then go to the Menu icon, located in the top right corner of the screen.
Step 2: Select Settings & Privacy. Click on Settings.
Step 3: In the settings menu, you will find a Timeline and Tagging option; select that option.
Step 4 Go to the option labeled ‘Who can post on your timeline?’
Step 5: Change this setting from friends to Only Me. Save the changes.
This feature will help you avoid such awkward situations by restricting other users from posting on your timeline.
