Samsung is rolling out One UI 7 beta in some selected regions. The update boasts new AI features, simplified controls, and a preview of scalable AI ecosystems of the future.
The One UI 7 beta program is available for Galaxy S24 series devices in Germany, India, Korea, Poland, the U.K., and the U.S.
The official release will start with upcoming Galaxy S series devices, which will feature additional AI capabilities including enhanced on-device AI functions, from the first quarter of 2025, according to the company.
It brings an update to Galaxy AI features including writing assist tools that help the users write and format messages easily.
It can also summarize content, check spelling and grammar, and automatically format notes into comprehensive bullet points. It also offers call transcripts, with support for 20 languages, which means recorded calls will automatically be transcribed.

One UI 7 brings a change in the look. The new Now Bar features relevant activities from apps like Interpreter, Music, Recording, Stopwatch, and more to streamline the appearance of your lock screen. This reduces the need to unlock the phone again and again to get access to your most important notifications.
More intuitive control over advanced settings is made possible by a redesigned camera user interface. The buttons, controls, and modes on the camera have been rearranged to make it simpler to locate the features and to provide a better preview of the pictures or videos.
This has also simplified the manual settings layout for Pro and Pro videos, making it easier to focus on the image or video users are shooting. The new zoom control for Pro video mode, allows users to control the zoom speed for smooth transitions.
