Vodafone Idea (Vi) has reportedly launched 5G services in India. The 5G operations of Vi are rolled out in 17 licensed service areas (LSAs) across the country, as per the report of Telecom Talk. The launch is on a small scale, with the network available in specific locations throughout this 17-circle, including Jaipur, Lucknow, Bengaluru, and Chennai.
According to the report, Vi is offering this service to both prepaid and postpaid customers. The telecom service provider has launched 5G on both the 3.3GHz and the 26GHz spectrum. However, Vi has not yet officially announced the launch of its 5G services in the country.
Price and Availability
Users can access 5G connectivity by recharging with the Rs. 475 pack, while postpaid users need to choose the REDX 1101 plan.
