The Apple Watch has become one of the most popular watches globally. People wait eagerly every year to get their hands on the latest launch. At the recent Apple event ‘The Glowtime’, the makers launched the Apple Watch Series 10.
As per Apple, the latest series is said to be thinner than its predecessors. It also features the ‘biggest and the most advanced’ display yet. Other interesting features include sleep apnea notifications, faster charging, and water depth and temperature sensing. It also comes with a new chipset with Apple Intelligence features.
Apple Watch Series 10 Specifications
The all-new Apple Watch Series 10 is touted as the thinnest Apple watch yet as it is 10 percent thinner than the Apple Watch Series 7, Series 8, and Series 9. The new S10 SiP was engineered to achieve a thinner profile.
The S10 SiP and built-in 4-core Neural Engine allow for intelligent features including the double tap gesture, on-device Siri, dictation, and automatic workout detection.
Other safety features include Crash Detection and Fall Detection. The updated Smart Stack, the redesigned Photos face, and the Translate app in watchOS 11 are some of the other interesting features that come with the series 10.
Apple Watch Series 10 is available in both aluminum and titanium. The aluminum cases weigh up to 10 percent less than Series 9, whereas the titanium cases weigh almost 20 percent less than stainless steel Series 9 as per Apple.
Apple Watch Series 10 is also the first Apple product to offer an innovative wide-angle OLED display making its display up to 40 percent brighter than Series 9.
The metal back can hold a larger and more efficient charging coil. This makes Series 10 the fastest-charging Apple Watch ever. The battery can be charged to 80 percent in about 30 minutes while 15 minutes of charging provides up to eight hours of normal daily use.
Sleep Apnea Detection
Apple Watch now offers a feature to help identify signs of sleep apnea by tracking key overnight metrics such as heart rate, respiratory rate, and wrist temperature. Since the watch is said to be thinner than ever, it makes it easier to wear it while sleeping to detect the signs of sleep apnea which generally goes undetected causing long-term health issues.
Apple Watch Series 10 Price In India
Apple Watch Series 10 price starts at Rs. 46,900 for the 42mm GPS variant, whereas the Cellular option is priced at Rs. 56,900. The Titanium variant in 42mm Cellular is priced at Rs. 79,900 and the 46mm option is priced at Rs. 84,900. Meanwhile, the new Apple Watch Ultra 2 Black Titanium will be available for Rs 89,900.
The new Apple Watch lineup is available for pre-ordered and will be available in stores from Friday, September 20.
